We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our strong organization and growing team as an IT Asset & Configuration Analyst located on site at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC. The IT Asset & Configuration Analyst will be responsible for the daily management of data, software and hardware assets within the configuration management database (CMDB).


Responsibilities and Duties


The IT Asset and Configuration Analyst is responsible for the daily management of data, software and hardware assets within the configuration management database (CMDB). The IT Asset and Configuration Analyst will work closely with the AVP-IT Asset and Data Manager to support operations, processes and procedures that are core to Software Asset Management (SAM) best practices, including effective lifecycle management of all specified software assets. This position will utilize Software Asset Management tools and methodologies to maintain the accuracy and automation of reporting and asset tracking to ensure the licensing of software entered within the tool and/or all associated records throughout the lifecycles of the asset. 


Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Research requested software, provide analysis of licensing models, and provide alternative recommendations if required.
  2. Engage and monitor internal legal counsel review of the EULA and work with third party vendors to provide analysis of licensing consumption requirements during onboarding or upgrading software.
  3. Build out software models, entitlements, and license allocations within ServiceNow.
  4. Maintain proper records of software and licensing renewals within ServiceNow.
  5. Conduct effective license position reviews for appropriate license consumption on a periodic basis or as required by publisher.
  6. Monitor software and support lifecycles to recommend upgrades based on compliance allowances.
  7. Conduct monthly reviews of fixed assets and provide recommendations for removals based on decommission process.
  8. Stay current with publisher compliance changes and acquisitions that could impact licensing consumption. 
  9. Maintain decommission records of hard drives and assist with hard drive destruction.
  10. Stay current with publisher compliance changes and acquisitions that could impact licensing consumption.
  11. Review stale data throughout the organization with a PII focus and document risks for further analysis.
  12. Develop Executive reporting of the asset management program, audit risks, and cost saving opportunities on a periodic basis.
  13. Participate in user groups for ServiceNow.
  14. Participate in Microsoft Licensing workshops.
  15. Complete and stay current in Software Asset Management Publisher Training.
  16. Ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations requirements including, but not limited to, GLBA, FFIEC, BSA as well as good business practices.
  17. All other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills

An associate degree or a minimum of 3 years of proven experience with processes and/or asset management is required.  The Information Technology Asset and Configuration Analyst should be detail oriented and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. A proficiency in system management and back-office processes is preferred. Strong analytical and organizational skills are required. The Information Technology Asset and Configuration Analyst should demonstrate the ability to analyze, research, resolve questions and/or concerns, and possess the ability to learn quickly and adjust to technology changes. The Information Technology Asset and Configuration Analyst must communicate clearly, diplomatically and effectively at all levels of the organization and to audiences with varying degrees of process and technical knowledge. Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) Certification required within 2 years of being hired. 

Lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds may be required during hardware inventory and sanitization process.  

Candidate must be available to work on-site Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Due to the nature of project deadlines and system update requirements, evening and weekend work will be required based on department needs.

Follow the asset management lifecycle process and procedures to support the efforts in maintaining an accurate and efficient configuration management inventory. 

Maintain a knowledge and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Incident Response teams defined in the Incident Response Plan.
