As a Personal Lines Insurance Advisor with Carolinas Insurance & Investment Group, you’ll be the bridge between clients and peace of mind. Here’s what your role entails:

  1. Risk Assessment: You’ll analyze clients’ needs, assess their risks, and recommend tailored insurance solutions. Whether it’s safeguarding their home, car, or prized possessions, you’ll be their trusted guide.
  2. Policy Customization: Think of policies as puzzle pieces. You’ll assemble them to create a comprehensive picture of protection. Need extra coverage for that antique vase? No problem. Adjustments are your specialty.
  3. Client Communication: Clear communication is huge! You’ll explain policy details, answer questions, and build lasting relationships. Clients will appreciate your expertise, patience, and genuine care.
  4. Sales Savvy: You’re not just an advisor; you’re a matchmaker. You’ll propose policies that fit like a glove. Bonus points if you can make insurance sound exciting (spoiler: it’s not always easy).
  5. Skills Mix:
    • Analytical Mind: You’ll crunch numbers, evaluate risk factors, and make informed decisions.
    • Empathy: Clients come with stories; listen well and offer solutions.
    • Sales Jedi: May the force (of persuasion) be with you.
    • Attention to Detail: Missing a clause or coverage is like leaving the castle gate open.

Industry Requirements:

Insurance License: You’ll need a SC-issued, valid insurance license. This typically includes both the Property and Casualty Insurance License and/or the Life and Health Insurance License.

Consulting and Customer Service Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You’ll be advising clients, so being able to listen, understand their needs, and provide clear explanations is crucial.

Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are valuable. You’ll evaluate risks, assess policy options, and recommend suitable coverage.

Independence and Teamwork: You should be comfortable working independently, but also be a team player. Collaborating with colleagues and sharing insights can enhance your effectiveness.

Industry and Carrier Knowledge: While experience in the insurance industry is an asset, continuous learning about insurance products, regulations, and market trends is key.

 

Agency Requirements 

Applied Epic Experience. Ability to navigate workflow, activities, billing, and attachments.

Juggler: Walk-in clients, phone calls, emails, Sales Agents, Underwriters – your time is not your own and it all has to get done. (It can be a circus!).

  • No Fear of Commitment: Willingness to commit to your clients and the agency – living an ‘ownership mentality’.
  • Outcomes Driven: Dedication to continuous improvement and achieving the best results is a must. Everyday.
  • Hard worker: This role requires a ‘roll-up-the-sleeves and get dirty’ kind of person.
  • Sense of Humor: A dash of levity because insurance can be dry.
